Organization Mission Statement

Founded in 1982, the mission of Community Awareness Network for a Drug-free Life and Environment (CANDLE) is to prevent substance abuse and violence among youth in our schools and in our community. CANDLE’s services include primary prevention programs for students in elementary, middle and high school, conferences and workshops for parents, school and community-based professionals and support programs for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender youth.
